One of my fellow couponing mamas decided she was going to do a freezer/pantry challenge for a month (maybe it was a month? I can't exactly remember.... Katie?? How long??) well, I decided to follow suit. :)
I started it 2 weeks ago. My budget for essentials is $40/week. So far, I've only gone to Meijer a few times- I sent Kent yesterday and he completely blew our budget out of the water. He bought beer so I'm a little irked. That is NOT part of the budget!
I'm super excited though, I'm actually get Ball Park hotdogs for about $.60/pack at Meijer on Sunday!! Other than that, I'll be buying milk, eggs, bread... no cheese. :) No need for cheese! Maybe a few boxes of non-whole grain pasta (Kent complained about only having whole grain).

Meijer Shopping trip April 22, 2012
I made 2 trips to Meijer today... debating about doing a couple more this week (maybe on my conp day)
Meijer has a decent cheese deal! However, they've changed their policy in regards to performing multiple transactions, to avoid deal limits. Makes more work for someone like myself- but oh well. Just means I have to go out, put grocery in the van, come back in and get more.

Happy new Year!
Holy moly, the last time I posted was end of November?!?!?! Wow.... I need to get on the ball.
Honestly, besides getting produce, milk, bread, eggs- we've been living off of our stockpile of food. I feel like we haven't even put a dent in it either! LOL
